Get answers to common questions about Weave Maintenance.
We recommend scheduling Weave Maintenance every 2–4 weeks depending on your lifestyle, extension type, and scalp needs. Regular visits prevent tangling and maintain a fresh, natural appearance while extending the life of your weave.
Not when performed by professionals using extension-safe techniques and products. We use gentle, sulfate-free cleansers and careful handling to protect bonds and stitching while cleansing and styling your weave, plus we advise on safe at-home care.
Light tangles can usually be detangled during maintenance, but severe matting may require additional time, special treatments, or removal. We assess damage first and recommend the safest option to protect your extensions and natural hair.
Most Weave Maintenance sessions take 45–75 minutes, depending on weave density, styling choices, and detangling needs. We'll confirm an accurate time when you book so you can plan your visit; please arrive a few minutes early.
You don't need to wash your weave before arriving. If your hair is heavily oily or product-laden, a light rinse helps, but avoid heavy conditioning that can loosen bonds; we’ll perform a professional shampoo during your appointment.
Yes. We use extension-safe, sulfate-free, and color-safe shampoos plus lightweight conditioners and styling products to protect bond integrity and prevent buildup. We also recommend at-home products to maintain results between visits.
